- INTRODUCTION
_________________________
Welcome to RoboMorph, another fine product from ZonkSoft. RoboMorph
converts *.GIF files into *.RBO. At the moment, RoboMorph only
supports *.GIF files. Future releases will include:
- PCX support
- The ability to change from *.RBO to GIF
- More Scaleing Features
- Support for RoboBoard 2.0
- Better Palette Conversion
-SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
_________________________
In order to run RoboMorph, your system must have the following
hardware:
- A computer
- A keyboard
- VGA card
- DOS
- USING RoboMorph
_________________________
To use RoboMorph, place any *.GIF file into your RoboMorph
directory and type:
RBOMORPH filename [options]
Where filename is the name of the name of the *.GIF file with no
extention. RBOMORPH will create a file with the same name as you gif file
but with a .RBO extention as well as multiple *.ICO files if necisary.
Copy this file into your RoboBoard graphics directory (C:\ROBOBBS\GRAPHIC).
************ Note: The GIF file must be in GIF87a format!! ************
Where options is one or more of the option characters in any order.
The option characters are as follows:
X 0 - Convert a 320 X 200 256 color image.
1 - Convert a 640 X 480 16 color image.
2 - Convert a 640 X 480 2 color image. (I haven't seen any 2 color
GIFs around, but if I don't put it in, someone will find one.)
N - No palette conversion. In 256 color mode, this uses the
attribute of a given pixel divided by 16 instead of asking you
to map out colors. (See COLOR MAPPER below.) This gives the
effect that someone on cocaine was playing with pencil crayons.
* G - Convert palette to grey-scale. Useful for all you lazy people
who son't want to map out colors.
* S - Scale. Reads every second pixel on the X + Y axis. Useful for
creating images if you don't have very much space left on you
hard drive, or if you just want a nice tiny picture.
B - Backwards. This is the equivilent of rotating the image 180
degrees.
* - - loads x1, y1, x2 and y2 from CORDINAT.RMF file where x1, y1,
x2, and y2 are co-ordinates. x1 and y1 are the
upper left hand corner of a rectangle, and x2, y2 is the lower
right hand corner. This is the area to be scaned. x2 - x1 must
be equal to a multiple of 30. If it isn't, then RoboMorph will
find the next multiple of 30 it can find. The same applys for
y2 - y1 except that, if you are using the Scale feature, then
this must be a multiple of 60. NOTE: To create the CORDINAT.RMF
file use the program RMCOR.EXE.
* = Registered Users ONLY
X = Default Choice
Please note that if you are not using the N or G options then you
will have to convert the entire pallette by hand. Two bars of color will be
displayed on the screen. Using the < and > keys, try to get these two
colors to match (or at least as close to a match as possible).
